Finished the Adirondack chairs; which led to refinishing the bench and side table; which led to sanding a wicker set and adding a fresh coat of paint; which led to sanding and painting new shelves for the garage; which led to repairing the outdoor dining chairs and one umbrella; which led to prepping the garden with fresh soil; which prompted Nikki to ask -

I know! I found it recently and thought this would be "Perfect for Our Family for "Mother's Day "2025"... So much history & memories. Tina & Martin set up a 'Photo" Studio in our basement/back drop - lighting. We were "Big Time Baby".
A Party for Renie - she was '76' and Dad had recently passed only months before and she had 'cataract' surgery scheduled soon; a little-known surgery at that time- not widely practiced.

💚 Cream Puff Day 2024 💚
Hello,
As our kitchen puts out 6,500 cream puffs today, we think of Lauri who in 2024 was promoted to a cream puff filler! (See attached picture) With careful attention to be sure that each puff is filled properly, Lauri used foot pedals and a steady hand to fill hundreds and hundreds of puffs in the early hours of the morning.
We love her and miss her so much!

Funny Story!
Upon folding Lauri's quilt to be returned to Peggy; a closer look & a 'tap on my right shoulder' I suddenly realized the blue fabric pattern framing the 'Mt. Aviat Medallion' squares are 'tiny bees flying around like 'busy bees'.
Sr. John Elizabeth Surprised Us! & brought ''fresh honey" for Lauri's Celebration Table a gift to be given to every one of the family at Lauri's dinner. The story Sr. told is the 'Mt. Aviat Sisters' are now making Honey'! They are 'Busy as Bees Making Honey and we 'got some'...
Lauri must have known something we didn't... 'about the bees & the Sr's.

I also wanted to share a picture of what’s been on my bedside table for the past year since Lauri’s passing, a sort of tribute to her. It includes the prayer card from her Funeral Mass, a home-made cross made from a dogwood tree and an antique crucifix and a knitted prayer square from my church’s knitting group. I hope that it continues to remind me of one of the kindest, funniest and generous person I have ever known and that I too can do better to be more like her every day.
