Joan was our 3rd child of sixteen children and the 3rd sibling to pass on. ....Joan was our "Schauber Family Matriarch" for more than 20 years. We were so very fortunate to have her for so long and to share her with so many others. Joan's passing will leave an indelible mark in our hearts forever. Our most sincere sympathy goes out to all her children ...The amazing "Callaghan Family"

When I was born, the 11th child of John & Irene, our parents allowed each of the older siblings to select a name to be placed in a hat. The name drawn would become the 'official baptismal record' of the 'newborn' to the family, me.

Joan was age 11, her selection was picked from the hat. The rest is history. ...Thank You so much Joan! Unlike many, I have always loved my name!!! ... I was baptized "BERNADETTE". 💛 (1950)

Baptized by Father Lawrence Andrew Ward - Larry (brother) was named after Fr. Ward, a dear friend of Dad's.

Had a Wonderful visit with Joan this afternoon. She was a little sleepy, so it was short but nice. Our Dear Lord has Blessed Joan & her family with such a 'Wonderful Life'.
