Happy "71th" Birthday - John Schauber, Jr. August 16th Thoughts from John - One Yr ago!!! Thank you. This is me 23 yr. ago. (Pic above) "1991" Much water under the bridge and many events since then. The main one I think about is when my home burned & My family reached into their hearts and pockets to support me in a great time of need. Now with a new hip, repair and time, the house is a home, outside is a garden and 3 banana plants and blessings all around me. God is great and good! I have been able to replace many of the pics that burned in the house with all your emails. The one I haven't seen is me hanging laundry at the house no river road-LOL. This will add to them. I count my blessings and loose count as there are so many. When growing up I couldn't begin to amaging 70's yet here they are. I am now '71' ....

Sr. John Elizabeth Callaghan and all of the sisters @ Mt. Aviat participated in prayers with candles and flags.

John's brothers & sisters gather together to pay final respect at John's committal. Susan Stewart provided candles & flags for each member to present.

Larry was requested to handle the " urn " carrying the cremains to be placed in the columbarium. Susan Stewart provided 'Votive Candles & Flags for each member to present.

   I know your pain. Again I remind you, God won't let you have more pain then we can handle, But at times I feel He may be wrong about how much I can handle. That  is when He wants me to ask for His help. I'm sure you have seen the writing '' Footprints in the sand.''

   Have you looked on the net for ''Holes in the floor of heaven'' If you want I'll get it for you. 

   The only way past the pain is thru it, If I felt I didn't want to deal with any part of grieving, It would keep coming back to bite me.

   My sister I love you and you are in my prayers.

Deacon Charles Your funeral send off service for our brother John was just "Exceptional". You had all of us 'spellbound' with every word and story and family memory and history and symbol; which seemed to just flow off your tongue through divine inspiration. It was so powerful and yet so personal to our brother John, Jr. and his time, life and place in our enormous family that Irene & John, Sr. left for all of us. Thank you again for your amazing grace. You have become a 'prodigious' asset and 'patriarchal' figure to our family, as witnessed yesterday at John's Funeral - St. Paul's R.C. Church in Delaware City, DE. Much Love,💙 Bernadette

All Souls Day was 11/2/20 and Margaret Mary & I attended a service at St. Paul's in De. City. We carried candles to the alter in honor of the souls of Loved Ones who had recently passed. I was able to take the one with John G. Schauber Jr.'s name on it home. Each day, I 'light a candle' at my altar and 'say prayers' to honor the souls of Friends & Loved Ones.

Now more than one hundred days since Our Dear Lord took Johnny (brother) into his arms and one month since All Souls Day; John's candle is nearly burned down. This is one very special month. The month we celebrate the birth of the Christ Child. And now, thanks to the blessings of Jesus Christ, we may see the end of this horrible pandemic. Merry Christmas & May God Bless Us All, Love, 🌴Susan Jeanette Stewart 💜

I can't remember how old she was when she went through that bad time with her memories but she got better and was good overall until she quietly died after an afternoon with Frank. What a way to go.
